On April 21, Dr. Hay Ly Eang, President and CEO of Confirel, held a strategic meeting with the leadership team of Conservation International (CI) Cambodia to identify areas of collaboration.

Discussions with Mr. Sony Oum (Country Director), Mr. Nathan Conaboy (Senior Director), Mr. Tim Bergman (Program Director), and Mr. Jackson Frechette (Conservation Director) focused on mobilizing impact investments for Confirel's cocoa program in the Cardamom Mountains, developing agroforestry models to restore degraded landscapes, integrating traditional women prahok producers into Confirel's supply chain, and encouraging community cultivation of plants such as lemongrass to meet market demand.

This meeting marks the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at strengthening sustainable economic development while supporting Cambodia's environmental conservation goals. For over twenty years, Conservation International has worked with local communities, government, and key partners to preserve and protect some of the country's most vital ecosystems and unique biodiversity.
